Job summary

A major project contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Havant to lead the delivery of a critical pipelines contract within a large reservoir project. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring the project meets its health, safety, and environmental standards. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in construction management, ideally within the water sector, and a degree in Civil Engineering. A hybrid working arrangement is available, requiring on-site presence four days a week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing budgets for large construction projects.
• Experience in reservoir works and/or major earthworks is an advantage.
• Recognised supervisory qualification or commitment to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Represent client at Non-Statutory Sub-Group meetings.
• Production of monthly progress reports and governance approval papers.
• Oversee all direct reports allocated to the project packages.

Skills

Strong communication and team leadership skills

Good analytical skills

Strong appreciation of risk management techniques

Good knowledge of construction materials and processes

Working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Experience of using Contract Management Software

More than 10 years of experience in design and construction management

Experience of leading major, complex civil infrastructure projects

NEC contract management experience

Full driving license

Education

Ideally degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study
