Overview

Are you a dynamic and experienced project leader ready to make an impact in a role where every project you lead brings beloved brands and immersive experiences to life?

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor project members, and drive excellence in every project breakthrough. Balancing agile and waterfall methodologies, you’ll adapt your approach to optimize efficiency and maintain project momentum.

This role sits in London, UK, and we offer a hybrid working week arrangement called Best of Both, requiring minimum 3 days per week in the office in London and 2 days' work from home.

Please note that no relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the full project lifecycle for complex initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered in line with strategic objectives and expectations from partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within LEGO Brand Parks & Experiences, the wider LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments to ensure seamless integration and execution of project deliverables.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage project progression, proactively identifying and addressing challenges to maintain momentum and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Balance the use of agile and waterfall project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and adaptability in project execution.
  • Uphold responsibility for the quality delivery of projects, serving as a key figure in managing complexity and ensuring project excellence.
  • Establish and run project planning and prioritization for key areas of the business, ensuring balance between resources and demand.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and team engagement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and practices in project management to continually enhance the capabilities of the LEGO Brand Parks & Experiences Team.

In this role, you’ll be a key driver of success within the LEGO Brand Parks & Experiences Team, leading complex, high-impact projects from conception to delivery. This position requires a highly skilled professional adept at managing multifaceted projects across Experience Design, Retail, Brand, Marketing, and Digital. As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll ensure projects are driven efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with partners across the LEGO Brand Parks & Experiences team, the broader LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments. You’ll report directly to the Head of Business Transformation.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Educational background in Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly within the entertainment, retail, or marketing sectors
  • Experience in leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and a strategic approach, with a focus on delivering results
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex ideas and engaging with partners at all levels
