Overview

Senior Project Manager – Major Construction & Housing Projects

Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Duration: 3-6 month contract (Temp to Perm option)

Working arrangement: Hybrid

Hours: 37 per week

We are currently working with Rugby Borough Council, who are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of major housing and property projects. This senior role will drive the Council’s Asset Management Strategy and ensure effective delivery of construction and regeneration schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the delivery of large-scale housing development and property projects (private and social housing)

  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, budgets, procurement and contractors

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to cost and to quality standards

  • Provide expert advice on regeneration, asset management and capital delivery

  • Represent the Council with senior stakeholders, consultants and contractors

  • Oversee risk management, compliance with health & safety/CDM regulations, and robust contract management

Qualifications
  • Significant experience delivering major housing and property projects within local government or similar complex environments

  • Strong commercial approach to maximise value from property assets

  • Demonstrable track record of managing projects valued at £5m+

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with elected members

  • Membership of CIOB, RICS or APM (or equivalent)
