Senior Project Manager

Location: Portsmouth Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £63,600+ depending on skills and experience.

What you’ll be doing
  • Build, lead and motivate teams — develop, manage, and inspire project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholders and governance — establish governance structures, define roles and responsibilities, and maintain stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee project planning — define project requirements, scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Develop and manage schedules — create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and dependencies to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Control budgets and resources — develop budgets, manage costs, and allocate non‑financial resources effectively.
  • Identify and manage risks — proactively manage risks, opportunities, and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change and configuration — establish change control procedures to manage scope variations and maintain configuration integrity.
Your skills and experiences
  • Proven experience delivering projects/programmes covering software, hardware or digital transformation.
  • Experience in the full Project Management lifecycle (from bid to closedown).
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Worked on projects with the value of £5–10 million.
  • Experience of driving business change.
