Job description

This role will support the Project and Reporting Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects across the organisation. This role requires strong organisational skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to drive project success and maintain high standards of corporate governance.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively support the Project and Reporting Manager in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and documentation. Lead delegated projects across multiple departments and manage key deliverables to optimise operational efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project related materials including project trackers, reports, risk registers, and stakeholder communications. Prepare draft status updates and reports for review by the Project and Reporting Manager.
  • Support business risk management activities including identification, assessment, and ongoing monitoring through regular reporting and documentation processes. Assist in executing risk management procedures and maintaining current risk registers.
  • Assist the Project and Reporting Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust corporate governance frameworks, compliance monitoring processes, and regulatory adherence programs. Coordinate governance related activities and maintain documentation.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including the Executive Management Team, department heads, external consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide comprehensive support for regulatory price control submission activities, including data collection, document preparation, stakeholder coordination, and compliance monitoring. Assist in preparing submission materials, liaising with departments.
  • Develop excellent working knowledge of relevant Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements which support delivery of Phoenix Energy’s core ESG objectives and ‘Pathway to Net-Zero’.
  • Support the Project and Reporting Manager in creating, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive ESG frameworks, reporting processes, and sustainability initiatives that align with business targets and meet industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing best practices in project management methodologies. Support the development of standardised project management procedures and tools.
  • Promote and support innovative team working in pursuit of business objectives and to promote a culture of compliance and optimal operational performance both within the Business Planning department and the wider Phoenix Energy organisation.
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to Phoenix Energy’s corporate objectives.
  • Observe and comply with policies and procedures for Health and Safety at Work and observe and continually promote equal opportunities and customer care in compliance with organisational aims and objectives.
  • Participate in learning and development activities that develop personal effectiveness and assist in improving performance in the role.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and in order to meet the changing needs of the organisation.

  • 2 years plus relevant project coordination experience, preferably in a similar commercial environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Ability to work independently with a willingness to work proactively and flexibly to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior-level management to help them succeed in meeting business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and focus on quality delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business management, administration, or analytical related discipline with relevant professional experience
  • Experience of working within the energy sector or a regulated industry.
  • Experience within a regulatory compliance, risk management or corporate governance role.
  • Experience in delivering ESG initiatives and sustainability projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Advanced working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
