Overview

Senior Production Engineer

Up to £50K plus Benefits. East Manchester area, commutable from Oldham, Droylsden, Hyde, Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stockport, Rochdale.

37 Hours 8:00–16:00 Monday-Thursday, 8:00–15:30 Friday.

Role Summary

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer/Production engineer with experience of running continuous improvement projects, looking to work on a large manufacturing site with progression available?

This role will suit an ambitious candidate who would like to work in a senior role whilst remaining hands on. You will be responsible for managing improvement projects focusing on areas such as layout, automation and waste. A multi million pound investment in improvements has already been implemented, so this is an exciting time to implement CI projects.

The Role

Full-time permanent role on a large manufacturing site.

Managing continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing environment. Combination of office-based work with shop-floor based work.

Mentor junior/apprentice/graduate production engineers.

The Person
  • Academic/working background with manufacturing/engineering. This could be degree, HND, City and Guilds, apprenticeship or be more lean focused.
  • Extensive working experience of leading lean/continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience of CI tools – 8D, FMEA, kaizen, DMAIC, etc.
