Job summary

A leading exploration and production company in the UK is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for a temporary agency worker contract. This role involves monitoring production performance, troubleshooting well issues, and developing operation procedures. Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum, and possess relevant industry experience. Valid industry competency certifications are necessary, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Our Client, a premier Exploration and Production Company, has a new job opening for a Senior Production Engineer to work with them on a Temporary Agency Worker contract basis in the UK. The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily monitoring, evaluation and analysis of production and injection performance.
  • Troubleshooting and remediation of well related issues.
  • Assign well test priorities and evaluate test results.
  • Development of production and injection optimisation targets for wells.
  • Production efficiency and loss management analysis and reporting.
  • Procedure development for well operations.
  • Provision of production engineering support to well integrity management.
  • Regulatory stewardship: lead production consent management and compliance.

Applications are invited from degree-qualified candidates in an engineering discipline; preferably chemical, mechanical or petroleum engineering. Candidates will have good working knowledge and experience in design and operation of ESP and gas lift systems. The successful incumbent will have experience in use of production engineering software e.g. Prosper, GAP, PI, OFM. Candidates will have working knowledge or developing awareness of rules and regulations relevant to operations within the UK oil and gas industry. This is an onshore role, however offshore trips may be required to meet the needs of the business therefore all industry competency certification (Medical, BOSIET with CA-EBS and MIST) must be valid.
