Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we're on a mission to Protect Life. We're explorers, pursuing society's most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you'll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Axon Assistant is shaping the future of AI in public safety - building an intelligent, real-time teammate that supports officers, dispatchers, and command staff across a complex ecosystem of devices and software. Axon Assistant brings the power of voice interaction, real-time translation, and AI-driven guidance to the field - starting with voice-activated features on body-worn cameras and expanding across mobile and web platforms. It enables public safety professionals to access critical information and support at the moment they need it, using the most natural interaction method for the situation - whether through speech, mobile interfaces, or desktop applications.

What You'll Do
  • Lead end-to-end design across key Axon Assistant experiences, including voice interaction (e.g., body-worn cameras), mobile workflows (iOS/Android), and web-based interfaces.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and AI/ML teams to create user experiences that are cohesive, intuitive, and mission-critical.
  • Define an experience vision for your product area, ensuring a seamless user journey across interaction types and devices.
  • Apply human-centered design to uncover user needs and translate them into clear, accessible solutions.
  • Conduct hands-on research including ride-alongs, interviews, and usability testing - turning insight into design direction.
  • Prototype and iterate at multiple levels of fidelity, from early sketches to interactive flows and developer-ready specs.
  • Work across multiple product areas while ensuring consistency, scalability, and clarity in every touchpoint.
  • Advocate for ethical and responsible AI integration through thoughtful interface design and user feedback loops.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 4 years leading complex digital product initiatives.
  • Experience designing multi-modal systems, especially those involving voice, mobile, and web-based user experiences.
  • Expertise in crafting end-to-end experiences - from user research and journey mapping to prototyping and delivery.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design, systems thinking, and product impact.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineers, PMs, and researchers - you speak the language of delivery as well as design.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and advocating for design quality and user outcomes throughout.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in designing AI/ML-enabled tools or real-time systems (e.g., assistants, live communications, field operations).
  • Experience in public safety, emergency response, healthcare, or other high-stakes environments.
  • Familiarity with ethical AI practices and inclusive design standards.
  • Ability to shape both product experience and team-level design process improvements.
Who You Are
  • Adaptable - You tailor your approach to suit the problem, platform, and user need.
  • Collaborative - You seek feedback early, share openly, and co-create across disciplines.
  • Assertive - You lead with clarity and advocate for design with conviction and evidence.
  • Customer-Obsessed - You dive deep into user needs, behaviors, and goals to uncover the right problems to solve.
  • Outcome-Driven - You focus on meaningful impact - not just elegant design.
Benefits that benefit You
  • Competitive base salary and RSUs.
  • Comprehensive pension plan with matching contribution
  • Private health insurance & cash plans
  • 30 days paid holiday + UK public holidays
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity leave
  • GymPass subscription
  • Life assurance & income protection
  • Career growth support and wellness resources
