Overview

Senior Process Development Scientist – Location: Oxford. Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hrs/week).

We are seeking a Senior Process Development Scientist to lead the development of an optimised manufacturing process for a proprietary vaccine delivery platform for a leading biotech company. This role involves performing laboratory experiments, generating reports, and supporting technology transfer activities. The successful candidate will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct lab-based process development and batch manufacturing.
  • Analyse and report scientific data; generate protocols and technical documentation.
  • Support technology transfer and work at third-party sites when needed.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems and safety standards.
  • Stay current with scientific literature and proactively share findings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
  • Strong background in tablet pressing, pill formulation, and powder blending.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' lab experience in R&D or pharmaceutical industrial manufacturing.
  • GMP knowledge and tech transfer experience is highly desirable.
