  • Following FEED/FEL, DED, OE stages, and similar project delivery models.
  • Analyzing and designing structural systems for energy and industrial facilities, including manufacturing and production buildings, substations, power stations/energy centers, and other infrastructure.
  • Conducting structural analysis and detailed design to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Developing engineering solutions that enhance structural performance and optimize costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations specific to energy and industrial sectors.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architectural, process equipment, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
  • Preparing technical documentation, reports, and proposals.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Supporting business development and tendering activities.

Qualifications & experience required for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer, with IStructE or ICE membership.
  • Minimum of 7 years (for senior or principal) or 10 years (for associate) of industry experience in structural engineering, with specific experience in energy and industrial projects, including substation design buildings.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations specific to energy and industrial sectors.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Technical expertise in structural engineering concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and structural modeling.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy-efficient design solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in resource and cost estimation for structural design.
  • Support for project planning and tendering.
  • Ability to present at client and project meetings.
