Senior Planning Manager

Location: Gatwick

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 4 days onsite & 1 day from home (potential for more)

The Company

The Planning role:

The role requires an experienced construction planner to manage fitout and asset replacement works.

Key attributes:

  • Understand project-specific milestones and durations to build robust schedules.
  • Use information from the team, supply chain, and benchmark data to produce clear programmes in Primavera P6, adhering to company standards.
  • Understand QSRA risk analysis and build programmes conforming to DCMA 14-point assessment.
  • Create schedules at levels 1 to 5 and communicate with the project team.
  • Develop detailed trade contractor schedules covering all project phases.
  • Update schedules with progress and changes, reporting monthly.
  • Manage short-term planning on live projects.
  • Integrate trade contractors’ schedules into the company schedule.
  • Communicate scheduling matters effectively to all project members.
  • Conduct site walks to assess progress and safety compliance.
  • Manage trade contractors’ progress reporting and integrate data into the schedule hierarchy.
  • Create and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reports weekly/monthly.
  • Provide data to the business planning database.
  • Participate in change management to assess impacts on the programme.
  • Prepare time impact analyses for Compensation Events.

About you:

  • Desire to learn, digitally savvy, capable of building client relationships, and a team player.
  • Experience with large projects/programmes.
  • Relevant degree, construction or project management background, eager to grow career.
  • Ideally pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., APM, PMI, CIOB).
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and familiar with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
  • Fitout experience and a background in delivery are essential; construction or project management background preferred.
