Job summary

A leading legal recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Lawyer for a remote role within a Local Authority in England. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with recent planning law experience. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, advising on planning issues, and supporting legal documentation. This opportunity offers an hourly rate of up to £60 Umbrella for an initial 3-month contract, providing flexibility in the public sector.

Overview

Senior Planning Lawyer – Remote Working – Up to £60 Umbrella – 3 month initial contract

Venn Group is currently supporting a Local Authority in the Midlands in their search for an experienced Senior Planning Lawyer to join their legal team on an interim basis.

Assignment details
  • Duration: 3 months initially
  • Working arrangement: Predominantly remote, with occasional office attendance as required
  • Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella (DOE)
Key responsibilities
  • Managing a caseload of general planning law matters
  • Advising officers and members on a wide range of planning issues
  • Drafting and reviewing planning-related legal documentation
  • Supporting the wider legal team on planning matters as required
The ideal candidate will
  • Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
