Job Title : Senior Planning Engineer

Location : Warrington / Bristol / Newbury OR Leicester Hybrid Working Arrangement

The role

As a Senior Planning Engineer you’ll be at the heart of some of the UK’s most critical nuclear projects. You’ll play a vital role in shaping and maintaining robust project schedules that drive delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle. This is your opportunity to make a real impact on national infrastructure, your career and the future of clean energy and defence.

This is a full‑time permanent position working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis with flexibility to work from home and on site at Warrington (Cheshire) or Bristol.

Day‑to‑day you’ll
  • Support Project Managers to ensure delivery on time within scope and budget.
  • Produce clear concise reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track progress, identify deviations and propose recovery actions.
  • Manage schedule changes in line with NEC4 commercial requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules from initiation through to completion.
Essential experience
  • Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and commercial scheduling.
  • Proven experience in planning within engineering nuclear or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Ability to produce monthly programme updates for customers.
  • Experience delivering high‑value complex projects across the full lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Professional certifications in planning or project controls would be advantageous.
  • A relevant engineering or project management qualification is desirable.
