A local government authority is looking for a qualified Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their Planning Services team. This pivotal role involves managing complex enforcement cases, ensuring compliance with planning regulations, and engaging with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have extensive planning enforcement experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. 37 hours per week, permanent contract
£37,280 - £40,777 per annum
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join our Planning Services team. This is a pivotal role in protecting the quality, character, and sustainability of our local environment by ensuring compliance with planning regulations and taking decisive action against breaches.
As a senior member of the team, you will manage a variety of complex enforcement cases, be customer‑focussed and engage directly with residents, developers, elected members, and partner agencies, providing high‑quality planning advice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on investigative work, problem‑solving and delivering positive outcomes for the community.
You will prepare cases where formal enforcement action is to be taken (in consultation with the Council’s legal advisors) where breaches of planning control cannot otherwise be resolved.
Great communication skills and an ability to engage with a range of stakeholders is therefore essential, along with a commitment to delivering an outstanding service to all our customers.

the role is required to be based at either the Civic Centre, Pershore or the Council House, Malvern.
