Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a distinct planning role on National Highways or Civils projects is essential.
  • Proficiency in P6 Primavera, including cost loading and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience in producing programmes with quantitative metrics and output rates.

Job description

VolkerFitzpatrick offers a range and depth of civil engineering, infrastructure and building services. We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Planner to work under a Planning Manager on our M3 Junction 9 Improvement Works project based in Winchester, Hampshire.

The scheme comprises of 330,000m3 of earthworks of which approximately 50,000m3 requires modification. 2 x 125m long Underpasses that will be constructed using the top down method with contiguous pile walls, 2 x 45m span steel gyratory bridges with piled FRC abutments, 35m span steel truss footbridge with piled FRC abutments, 4 x subways, 1 x super span gantry, 1 x long span gantry and 9 VMS signs as well as as significant drainage, communications and other minor retaining structures

About you
  • You will ideally hold an Engineering/Technical qualification to degree level or nearest equivalent.
  • You will have extensive experience on National Highways / Civils projects either on site or in a distinct planning role.
  • An experienced use of P6 Primavera including cost loading / EVM.
  • Able to produce programmes with quants and output rates.
  • Able to develop a fully integrated contract programme (design/procurement/sub-contractors/construction/commissioning).
