We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, registered Pharmacy Technician with demonstrable post qualification experience, who wants to make a real difference to patient care, to join our successful team and contribute to developing our services and continuing to extend the technician role.
Applicants should hold a Level 3 BTEC / NVQ Pharmacy Services certificate or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy technician.
Duties will include:
To co-operate with all pharmaceutical staff in providing and developing the technical aspects of the pharmaceutical service including comprehensive dispensing and medicines distribution service to out-patients on all wards and departments throughout the Trust.
To train and mentor new and existing staff and supervise pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians.
After completion of the Medicines Management training programme the post-holder will carry out a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical activities at ward level and will have sufficient knowledge and experience to work unsupervised as part of the ward team.
After competency training the post holder will be asked to undertake duties of a more specialised nature by administering medication to patients on the ward.
