Manage, develop and participate in the provision of specialist Homecare Services ensuring that the supply of medicines is cost effective and meets the national homecare governance requirements.
Maintain centralised services onto one site, ensuring a constant supply of quality medicines through the Pharmacy and homecare providers to its patients by managing the purchase order, delivery and payment systems.
Co‑ordinate the Homecare service and staff specialising in Homecare Services, directing workflow and skill mix and plan and deliver the training of pharmacy staff undertaking NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications, including appraising and mentoring.
Work within a range of technical pharmacy codes and procedures supporting the Pharmaceutical Service and the Medicines Management agenda in the UHB.
To clinically screen and validate homecare prescriptions according to local and national standards, following a period of competency‑based training and assessment.
