Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and friendly dispensary team at Kingston Hospital.

You will be working alongside an experienced team in a technician-led dispensary on providing a comprehensive dispensary service to a wide range of specialties including surgery, medicine, elderly care, critical care and our community services. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Applications from candidates with either a hospital or community background are welcomed.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the dispensary technical team and oversee the day to day running of the dispensary services.
  • Lead the team and implement changes that benefit the Department.
  • Deputise for the Chief Technician for allocated duties in their absence.
  • Ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner and deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs.
  • Coordinate and investigate stock checks and discrepancies by completing daily stock check reports.
  • Assist in the induction of new starters and staff rotating through both departments.
