Senior Performance Director – Nest Commerce

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of performance marketing services across a large portfolio of ecommerce and retail clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a senior team of Performance Directors and paid media specialists, creating a high-performance, collaborative environment where people can thrive.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted strategic adviser and key escalation point.
  • Drive strategic planning and performance improvement for clients, ensuring work delivers clear, measurable commercial impact.
  • Identify, resolve, and proactively prevent client or performance challenges, balancing client needs with agency success.
  • Design and refine scalable systems, processes, and ways of working to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across the department.
  • Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping shape agency strategy, culture, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on new business pitches, case studies, thought leadership, and industry events.
  • Stay ahead of industry, platform, and technology trends, ensuring Nest continues to innovate and lead within ecommerce performance marketing.
  • Support commercial growth by identifying upsell, cross‑sell, and broader growth opportunities that benefit both clients and Nest.
Candidate Experience

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded performance marketing leader who brings both strategic depth and people‑first leadership. You’ll likely bring :

  • Extensive agency and / or in-house marketing experience, with deep expertise and passion for digital performance marketing.
  • A proven track record of building, leading, and scaling high‑performing teams, through a combination of direct line management and broader departmental leadership.
  • Strong experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders, including founders and C‑suite leaders, within ecommerce or retail businesses.
  • Confidence operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments, with the agility to turn decisions into action quickly and effectively.
  • A naturally curious mindset, with a constant drive to seek out new knowledge, better ways of working, and innovative solutions.
  • A systems‑led approach, with a clear inclination towards automation, efficiency, and scalable growth.
  • The ability to collaborate seamlessly across disciplines, working closely with senior leadership, paid media specialists, creative teams, and sales and marketing functions.
  • High proficiency in using data to identify risks and opportunities, inform decision‑making, and drive performance improvements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrable experience thinking and acting in ways that maximise business and client outcomes.
