Overview

Anderson Knight is delighted to be supporting a well-established and expanding organisation with the appointment of an experienced Senior Payroll Assistant to join their team based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing payroll team within a leading, client-focused payroll bureau. Bureau experience is a must for this role.

Due to continued growth, our confidential client is seeking a Payroll professional with a proven track record in high-volume processing, who thrives in a fast-paced and service-led environment. The role will offer hybrid working, a competitive salary of £30-35,000 and an excellent pension scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across a varied client portfolio.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, acting as a key point of contact for client payroll queries.
  • Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, including SSP, SMP, and HMRC processes.
  • Liaise directly with clients to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
  • Support multi-frequency payrolls and maintain accurate payroll records.
Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a payroll processing role.
  • Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Sage and BrightPay.
  • A payroll or finance-related qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Experience managing multi-frequency payrolls is advantageous.
