A leading healthcare provider in Cambridge is inviting applications for the role of Senior Ophthalmic Technician. The successful candidate will lead a technician-led ophthalmology service, manage their own caseload, and provide diagnostic assessments within the department. We are inviting applications for an exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmic Technicians Team. Senior Ophthalmic Technicians are a crucial support service within the ophthalmic specialties. They perform diagnostic tests in different clinics within the department, including Visual Field Tests, Optical Coherence Tomography and imaging. They provide support to a team of Ophthalmic Technicians. The Glaucoma team have technician-led clinics. Some clinics are offsite and some Saturday working may be required. Training is given to the successful candidate. Ophthalmology is a fascinating, busy environment to learn new skills and make a difference.
