Are you kind, compassionate, and motivated to support patients and service users? We’re looking for exceptional individuals to join our dedicated teams, providing vital support.

Responsibilities
  • To assist under supervision in the delivery of fundamental nursing care and a range of clinical duties in liaison with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective and efficient running of the ward/ service.
  • To contribute to the implementation and progression of a range of patient treatment and care packages as delegated by a registered healthcare professional; reporting back on progress.
  • To provide day to day supervision and/or support co-ordination of learners and junior staff acting both as a leader and role model for Nursing Assistants/Healthcare Support Worker (band 2).
  • To maintain own personal development with support from ward/departmental manager and provide support and guidance to others to help their development.
  • To demonstrate a broad skill base, planning own duties and organising own day to day work activities.
  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of high quality person centred care and principles.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • GCSE Maths and English desirable

  • NVQ III in Healthcare and/or a completed Full Care Certificate Programme which is an essential criterion for this role

  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge and skills in caring for complex patients with medical conditions
