Job summary

A leading nursery provider in Greater London is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with the Room Lead and Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of your room, planning engaging activities and mentoring junior colleagues. You should have a Level 3 Early Years qualification and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Job description

We’re supporting a wonderful private nursery that’s dedicated to providing high-quality early years education and care.

As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll work closely with your Room Lead and the Nursery Manager to help oversee the daily running of your room . You’ll plan engaging, child-led activities, support the team with clear direction and encouragement, and ensure every child’s needs are met in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.

You’ll be a role model for best practice—balancing care, creativity, and professionalism—and helping to mentor junior colleagues as part of a strong and passionate early years team.

Requirements
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum)
  • At least 3 years’ experience post-qualification
  • Confident in supporting and motivating a small team
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and EYFS requirements
