Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Closing date: 11 January 2026

Location: Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, sites: Teddington Memorial Hospital, Centre House (SW14 8LP), Whitton Corner Health and Social Care Centre (TW2 6JL).

Band 6 musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist, two posts.

Main duties
  • Provide high‑quality physiotherapy in MSK services under guidance of senior physiotherapists, including main departments and satellite clinics.
  • Conduct competent musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and appropriate onward management of patients with chronic and acute MSK problems.
  • Deliver programmes of supported patient self‑management to facilitate behavioural change, optimise physical activity and independence, minimise pharmacological interventions.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior colleagues in assessment and management of MSK clinical conditions.
  • Engage in service improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HPC registration.
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Experience
  • Broad range of band 5 care clinical specialities including MSK and orthopaedics.
  • Experience treating patients with complex pain and co‑morbidities.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses.
Communication and Knowledge
  • Developed communication skills allowing patient‑centred care.
  • Broad range of musculoskeletal knowledge updated with relevant research.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and quality audit experience.

Permanent, full‑time.

Working pattern

Full‑time, part‑time, flexible working, compressed hours.

Salary

£44,485 to £52,521 per annum, pro‑rata, includes HCAS outer.
