Job summary

A leading NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Lead Pharmacist for Medicines Information. The successful candidate will develop and manage the Medicines Information service, provide clinical and scientific advice, and represent the Trust in various committees. Strong experience in clinical pharmacy and a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy are essential. Qualifications

  • Experienced clinical pharmacist with a substantial track record providing Medicines Information services.
  • Extensive experience providing clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the medicines information service, including the Patient Helpline.
  • Undertake core enquiry answering service providing professional, clinical and scientific information.
  • Manage rotational band 6/7 pharmacists and provide training.
  • Maintain computerized database for medicines information enquiries.
  • Attend UKMI conferences and collaborate with regional MI centres.
