ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
In 2023, SBC Media hired a Commercial Director both to drive top line growth across the media portfolio and bring operational efficiency, which includes transitioning from the existing sales team selling both events and media to building a dedicated media sales team.
The Senior Media Sales Exec will be tasked with driving the continued growth of SBC Media solutions across the their allocated base of clients and in particular increasing the value of media sales across the media brands and providing the necessary focus to better serve our clients
Having grown revenue by approximately 175% over the past three years, SBC Media has significant traction that we seek to continue by building a strong sales team. The majority of the company's growth has been organic, which further launches on schedule but also recently made its first acquisition in the Canadian market.
The Senior Media Sales Exec will report to the Commercial Director for SBC Media, in the UK and will be expected to work autonomously to develop their own pipeline within their allocated client base which will have a potential global footprint.
From the outset the Senior Media Sales Exec will be expected to build relationships with existing clients within their base and ensure that they are sold media solutions effectively. You will be expected to build internal relationships with other SBC Sales and other department staff to identify opportunities for pipeline development and sales.
The Senior Media Sales Exec must be visible in the market and expert in listening to clients’ needs, empathising with them and adapting to help them find solutions and solve their problems through SBC Media’s product and services. In making strategic recommendations and contributing new ideas, he/she will need to keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activity. An expert knowledge of business development and a proven track record of creating effective relationships with clients is required. Initially the role will be to develop new business opportunities and sales within their allocated client list and to account manage these clients to ensure repeat business.
