Job description

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Aberdeen, Scotland

Permanent, full–time

This is one of those "roles not to miss" kind of opportunities. Working with an embodied Ai and robotics organisation with an incredible journey ahead of them, you could genuinely change your life with this one!

The company develops robotics pick and place technology, they are determined to enhance the efficiency of a sector laden with manual processes. It's genuinely innovative and combines several robotic technologies with some exciting computer vision and Ai.

They need a senior mechanical design engineer to join the team. It's a mix of being able to invent things yourself and come up with great new ideas, as well as take what they already have and ensure the design is bulletproof (not literally) and can be manufactured without hiccups.

Skills they are looking for:

  • Senior level mechanical design experience – be autonomous and take control of your day to day
  • 2D and 3D CAD Software – They use Solidworks, not essential to have but a nicety.
  • Experience from concept to manufacture – a good grasp of design for manufacture and materials involved
  • (Desired) – Background in a materials handling environment, FMCG would be a great one

The working arrangement requires a good chunk of on–site presence, 3 days per week in the office in Aberdeen. The company will support relocation and sponsorship where required.

Salary for the role is above market average and there are a range of quality benefits on top.
