The Opportunity We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, working on innovative water sector projects. This is a chance to influence design standards and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver mechanical design outputs that meet stringent safety and quality standards.
  • Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications for water-related projects.
  • Lead and support CAD technicians and junior engineers throughout the design process.
  • Oversee subcontracted M&E design work, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to integrate equipment into designs.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years’ mechanical design experience within the water industry.
  • Strong expertise in hydraulic design principles and applications.
  • Understanding of electrical systems and control processes.
  • Degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline, with solid IT skills.
  • Professional registration and actively working towards chartered status.
