A synthetic fuel company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to integrate reactor and electrolyser systems. The role involves overseeing the design, manufacturing, and deployment of the system, requiring a strong understanding of thermodynamics and related fields. Rivan Industries () is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.
We've design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off–grid DC solar and the European gas–grid. Here's our entire business plan . We've recently deployed the UK's largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years.
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to bring our designs to life and help integrate our reactor and electrolyser systems. We have large amounts of condensing, cooling, plumbing, and system integration to do and need curiosity and urgency to battle the thermodynamics that are working against us to wrestle H2 and CO2 into formation.
We have one single goal – reduce the leveralised cost of methane to the point drilling stops and companies mine the sky for carbon. If you urge to make a difference in the real–world, surrounded by people you admire doing great work with intensity, this is for you.
