You’ll partner closely with our Building Surveying department, blending hands-on inspections with innovative design solutions across the north of England. Within this role you will be responsible for:- Design and specification of projects across various sectors.
- Delivering M&E services; normal duties design, preparation of performance specs, site inspections of works in progress, site surveys/condition reports etc.
- Preparing mechanical services designs and associated drawings for projects to be designed and delivered in-house
- Preparing design calculations including those relating to ‘Energy Efficiency’ and building integration
- Supporting the local MEP Lead in preparing fee proposals and sub-consultant appointment documents, tracking projects from inception to completion
- Work collaboratively with MEP service teams in the North to ensure seamless integration of MEP Systems.
- Reviewing MEP Mechanical design outputs to ensure assured service delivery.
- Provide technical support to other service team members in other regions as required.
- Inspecting construction activities and troubleshooting issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Site inspections of work in progress.
- Project progress and client facing meetings.

Who we’re looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills- Ambitious and passionate about the built environment.
- Broad design experience but particularly in decarbonisation schemes.
- Lifecycle analysis, condition surveys and reporting.
- Previous experience within a consultancy or similar environment.
- Degree educated in Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar.
- MS Office suite, software design packages such as MEPworx, or IES and AutoCAD
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.Hold or be working towards professional membership with CIBSE.
