Job summary

A world leading manufacturer based in Newark is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and test electro-mechanical products. This role involves developing prototypes, interfacing with customers, and participating in design reviews. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection-moulding and CNC milling, be proficient in SolidWorks, and preferably hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes to production
• Shape the product using experience and knowledge
• Interface with customers
• Participate in design reviews and stage gate process
• Design, develop and test electro‑mechanical products

Qualifications

• Solid understanding and experience with commonly used manufacturing processes including plastic injection‑moulding and CNC milling
• Proficient user of SolidWorks
• Experience of interfacing with customers
• Experience with full design lifecycle including design reviews and the stage gate process or similar
• Confident in design, development and testing of electro‑mechanical products
