Overview

Managing a team and the manufacturing activities of this robotics-based product company reporting to the Manufacturing Director. The Senior Manufacturing Technician will be part of the senior manufacturing team and lead technicians on a range of manufacturing activities, including manufacturing tolerances for robotic hardware builds and testing, documentation, and manufacturing process documentation. Processes must adhere to required safety and compliance standards, and a key responsibility will be delivering builds to high specifications. As the company looks to deliver their next autonomous robotic system, manufacturing and product delivery is paramount.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians (2 to 6 people) in low-volume, high-value electromechanical robotics products.
  • Supervise recruitment and management of the team.
  • Ensure builds are delivered to high specifications and meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Maintain manufacturing documents and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners; build and maintain relationships.
  • Travel to partner sites as required; maintain own driving licence and vehicle.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Demonstrable manufacturing experience in low-volume, high-value engineering products involving electromechanical components (ideally within robotics).
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity of 2 to 6 people.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills, adaptability, and ability to understand complex engineering.
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Must have full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
