A precision engineering business in the Wolverhampton area is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide end-to-end support from design through production. Job description

Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Manufacturing engineer for our client based in the Wolverhampton area.

This is a precision engineering business who work in the aerospace and energy sectors (amongst others) so experience in a similar industry is required.

A HNC in Mechanical engineer or equivalent is desirable for this role.

The main purpose of this role is to provide end-to-end support from initial design and modelling through planning and programming product for the shop floor. Ensuring components are delivered on time and on budget by creating efficient solutions.

Responsibilities
  • CNC offline programming for milling and turning
  • Supporting production with daily problem solving
  • Continuous improvement
  • Ensuring quality and associated records are maintained.
  • Planning and designing manufacturing process from start to finish.
  • Accurate stage drawings, SOP's and similar.
  • Support quotation processes.
  • Support with NPI projects
  • Assist and direct projects including CAD/CAM programs to ensure first time quality and production readiness.

This is a permanent role and you can expect to earn between £50,000 - £60,000. To earn the higher end of this salary bracket, you must be able to demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job role.

39 hours per week. 08:00 - 17:00, early Friday finish.
