Job summary

A manufacturing company located in South Devon seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a permanent role. This position is responsible for verifying manufacturing processes and providing training on equipment. Candidates should have HND/HNC qualifications or equivalent experience in Engineering and relevant practical skills. A salary between £50,000 and £55,000 plus additional benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Verify manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving targets.
  • Develop operating instructions and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide training to colleagues for existing and new equipment.

JOB- Senior Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION- South Devon

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £50,000-£55,000 plus other benefits

My client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the South Devon area. The ideal candidate would be to provide support to ensure Quality, Efficiency and repeatability of process on current and new equipment.

Key Attributes
  • HND/HNC qualified or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science or a related field
  • Have experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment
  • Be able to read & interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Practical problem solver
  • Ability to work individually or as a team
Role Responsibilities
  • Verify manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets
  • Develop operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for processes/ equipment
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues for existing and new equipment
  • Creating production work and test instructions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, design, manufacturing and planning with seamless execution and transition of new manufacturing projects, including NPI/NPD for Production readiness.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, identify and justify potential improvements
  • Factory floor layouts
  • Participate in process improvement teams to resolve issues
  • Attend training and participate in Continuous professional development
