A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior / Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development of manufacturing capability for a nuclear defence project. The role involves managing teams, interfacing with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in engineering projects and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes. This is a full-time position located in Derby, with no remote work options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing engineering projects in tooling-related industries.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing machining methods and metallurgy.
• Awareness of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
• Experience estimating planning and budgeting.
• Demonstrate nuclear professionalism in a regulated sector.
• Good understanding of UKCA marking and regulatory compliance.
