Job description
Overview

This post will provide day-to-day operational management of the Treatment Department within EDT, working across EDT and external Talking Therapies services. The post-holder will lead and support a mixed team of clinicians and administrators, including Band 5 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Band 7 High Intensity Therapists, and administrative staff at Bands 4–6. They will be responsible for ensuring that referral, booking, and treatment processes are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to a high standard, as well as maintaining their own caseload.

Collaboration

Collaboration will be central to the role. The post-holder will work closely with colleagues across EDT and partner services to maintain clear communication, support effective team working, and ensure smooth pathways for service users. They will oversee supervision and performance management, contribute to staff recruitment and development, and ensure that workloads are managed fairly and effectively in line with service priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide line and case management to Band 7 and Band 5 therapists, and support them to deliver on performance and recovery targets
  • Under the supervision of the Clinical Lead, coordinate and oversee clinicians’ supervision arrangements within the service
  • Offer clinical supervision to PWPs and Band 7 therapists.
  • Offer operational management to the EDT treatmentteam plus supporting any other aspects of the service managed by the Clinical Lead, as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Applicants must have proven experience in line management, clinical supervision, and performance management, along with a commitment to professional development and achieving service targets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage the demands of a busy and varied workload are essential.
