Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team on client site, ensuring successful delivery against client targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business practices and requirements.
  • Shape and negotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms, tailored to client needs.
  • Lead assigned MDS initiatives, including demand management and savings challenges, across varying scopes and scales.
  • Understand the Market Data Operational tasks at a high level and understand KPIs
  • Build and present tailored solutions for initiatives while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Review and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring beneficial terms and conditions for the client.
  • Provide advice on best practices for contract management, licensing issues, and compliance with usage rights.
  • Maintain MDS industry awareness to contribute to the value chain and identify displacement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement demand management strategies to optimize costs and operational efficiency.
  • Generate accurate business and financial reports to aid decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Drive cost efficiency exercises by leveraging spend analysis, RFPs, and savings opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive global MDS inventory to support business operations.
  • Oversee the ordering and cancellation of MDS services to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage financial processes, including invoice validation, internal cost allocations, and vendor balance accuracy.
  • Facilitate third-party declarations to support compliance and smooth workflows.
  • Adhere to corporate standards, tools, and processes to ensure consistency in sourcing initiatives and delivery.
  • Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives.
Your profile
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master)
  • 7+ years’ experience working with MDS vendors and their services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills at all levels of an organization together with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results
  • Experience in working with MDS related sourcing tools, practices, and systems
  • Desirable – understanding of UK contract law
  • Professional team player, motivated and highly flexible
