Senior Legal Counsel

As a global leader in green hydrogen, ITM Power designs and manufactures advanced electrolysis technology enabling decarbonisation across industries worldwide. With demand growing rapidly, we are seeking a commercially astute Senior Legal Counsel to play a key role in their expanding legal team.

The Role

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Legal, you will work closely with colleagues across ITM Power’s UK and international business to deliver high-quality, pragmatic legal advice. You’ll be hands-on in negotiations, proactive in managing risk, and collaborative in supporting business objectives.

You will:

• Draft and negotiate complex, high-value customer and supplier contracts with leading global companies

• Provide legal advice on corporate matters, compliance, and governance
• Support the resolution of disputes and potential litigation
• Monitor and advise on UK and EU legislative changes relevant to the business
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues and external advisers
• Act as a true business partner-pragmatic, solution-focused, and commercially minded

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a qualified solicitor with:

• 5–7+ years’ post-qualification experience in commercial and corporate law
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating international agreements
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
• Ideally, experience in a commercial in-house environment, but strong private practice candidates with the right commercial mindset will be considered
