A UK-based higher education institution is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team in the Department of Allied Health Professionals. This role involves teaching, supervising students, and facilitating community outreach activities. Candidates should be HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist and possess a relevant first degree and master's qualification. The position also entails significant involvement in curriculum development and working with patients. Applications close on 05/01/2026, and interviews will take place shortly after.
In this role you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Allied Health Professionals in the School of Health & Life Sciences, as well as contributing to the wider School and University. In addition to formal teaching in academic modules, you will supervise students on the Student Dental Facility and facilitate and supervise community outreach oral health activity in a range of settings.
You will hold, or be willing to achieve, a relevant Teaching Qualification, normally within 2 years of employment, i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.
You must be registered with the HCPC as either a Physiotherapist and you must be able to demonstrate contemporary knowledge, experience and skills in this subject area. You must have contemporary experience of working with patients with acute and or chronic Respiratory and or Neurological conditions. The ability to contribute to curriculum development and to negotiate and manage practice placement experiences is essential. You will have a first degree and masters’ level qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
