Overview

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority Shared Service based in Cambridgeshire, for a senior employment lawyer to join them on a permanent basis.

You will provide a range of public sector clients with professional legal advice on employment matters, and you will appear before courts and tribunals, undertaking advocacy where necessary.

Previous UK local government experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional legal advice on employment matters to public sector clients
  • Appear before courts and tribunals and undertake advocacy where necessary
Qualifications
  • An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX chartered legal executive
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of handling a caseload of employment matters
  • Able to conduct advocacy in court/tribunal
  • Able to attend the office in Cambridgeshire on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week
