Overview

Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Location: Based near York. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a multidisciplinary consultancy offering design services to civil, structural, and geotechnical sectors. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead an expanding team in the civil infrastructure design of highways and drainage schemes for commercial, industrial, and residential development projects near York and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Designing structures across a range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential
  • Leading high-profile projects from inception through to successful delivery
  • Building, maintaining, and managing stakeholder relations across public and private sectors
  • Representing the company at design team meetings and site visits
Required skills and qualifications
  • Hold an initial or higher Degree (or equivalent, relevant qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Extensive relevant experience within a UK-based consultancy setting
  • Demonstrable experience of road and drainage design with respect to S38, S278, S104, etc.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microdrainage, Causeway PDS, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Experience in preparing drainage appraisals, incorporating SuDS in compliance with Local and Water Authority requirements
  • Good knowledge of current technical standards, procedures, and by-laws
  • Ability to forge and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and stakeholders across public and private sectors
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Revit
  • Chartered Engineer status, or actively pursuing
