A public regulatory agency in Cardiff seeks a member for their Industry & Waste Regulation Team. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at industrial installations and responding to incidents. Candidates should have experience in regulated industries and possess effective communication skills. The role is an instrumental member of the Industry & Waste Regulation Team at Natural Resources Wales. The post holder will protect and enhance the environment by effective and efficient regulation of the most complex or highest risk industrial installations, COMAH (Control of Major Accidents and Hazards) sites, RSR (Radioactive Substances Regulation) sites and waste sites. You will respond safely, timely and efficiently to environmental incidents/reports and undertake appropriate investigation work. Through application of our Regulatory Principles - ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, undertake proportionate enforcement action and achieve tangible multiple benefits from our regulatory interventions. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance. Interviews will take place through Microsoft Teams. Vetting checks may be required depending on the role. Appointments are normally made within 4 to 6 weeks of the closing date.
