A government entity is seeking an Inclusive Practice professional in Manchester. This role focuses on supporting Diversity & Inclusion policies within the Civil Service, requiring strong stakeholder management and collaboration. Government People Group (GPG) is the strategic and functional centre for the Government People Function and human resources (HR) in the Civil Service.
Led by the Joint Interim Government Chief People Officers, Caitlin Kinsella and Janette Durbin, we enable and improve the delivery of recruitment, training, workplace policy, HR strategy and management excellence to over half a million civil servants.

A shared aim of all civil servants working in the Government People Function is to support the delivery of the Civil Service People Plan 2024-2027.
The People Plan outlines five People Priorities for the Civil Service, alongside 45 commitments to address our most pressing and immediate people challenges. Departmental plans and strategies also align with and contribute towards the People Plan.
This is a great opportunity to join the Civil Service Inclusive Practice (part of the Civil Service Employee Experience & People Performance domain in Government People Group, Cabinet Office), a friendly and supportive team of HR professionals working across government to deliver the current Civil Service Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and the Civil Service People Plan as well as to help develop future strategy and a number of high priority government reform projects.
The role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the team. You will have an interesting and varied role contributing to a wide range of projects that ensure we have excellent policies, products and advice for Permanent Secretary Inclusion Champions, Human Resources Directors, departmental Diversity & Inclusion teams and cross-Civil Service Diversity Networks.
