Job description

We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support our leaders through growth change and day-to-day people decisions across a complex operational environment. The role combines strategic input with hands‑on delivery requiring strong judgement, confidence in challenging when needed and a practical approach to solving problems.

You will work closely with leaders and our people managers to drive performance support, change and ensure consistent, fair people practices in a regulated safety-focused environment. This is a visible role with real influence suited to an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and making a tangible impact.

This role requires 3‑4 days onsite in Spennymoor with 1‑2 days hybrid option available.

Your role will involve
  • Partnering with senior leaders to support organisational performance, structure and capability
  • Providing expert advice on employee relations, performance management and complex casework
  • Leading and supporting change initiatives including restructures and workforce planning
  • Coaching leaders to build strong, accountable and engaged teams
  • Using people data and insight to influence decision making
  • Supporting performance succession and leadership development initiatives
  • Ensuring policies, processes and practices are fair, compliant and applied consistently
  • Working closely with the wider HR team to deliver group‑wide priorities
What we are looking for

  • Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and working at a leadership level
