Overview

Senior HR Advisor. Immediate Start - 6-Month Contract. Peterborough - Hybrid - Min 2 Days Onsite.

Are you an experienced HR Advisor with a strong background in employee relations (ER), ready to hit the ground running? We are seeking a confident, capable professional to join a fast-paced, dynamic team on a 6-month contract. As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting employees and driving positive change across the business. You will be the sole HR Advisor in a busy, high-volume team, reporting directly to the HR Business Partner. Your focus will be on complex ER casework, especially performance management and absence management in a large-scale organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex ER cases end-to-end (performance, absence, grievance, disciplinary).
  • Provide commercially focused, pragmatic HR advice to managers and employees.
  • Conduct investigations and hearings, and coach line managers through HR processes.
  • Support organisation-wide initiatives including talent, change, and performance programmes.
  • Contribute to TUPE processes and organisational change where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the ER Manager to ensure consistency in employee relations practice.
Ideal Candidate
  • CIPD-qualified (or equivalent), with solid HR generalist experience.
  • Proven track record in managing high-volume ER casework.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and case law.
  • Comfortable operating in large, fast-paced organisations (500+ employees).
  • A self-starter who can work independently and confidently influence at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
