Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Senior HR Administrator in Bedford. This full-time position will involve providing high-quality administrative support across HR functions, particularly in employee relations and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR administration and a good understanding of UK employment law. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. The role is fully office based.

Qualifications

  • Possess or be working towards a CIPD qualification.
  • Proven experience in HR administration, ideally with employee relations casework.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional, discreet, and confident in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using HR systems is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR Business Partners with administration of formal ER cases.
  • Maintain and update ER records and trackers for GDPR compliance.
  • Prepare reports to monitor ER activities.
  • Manage onboarding and compliance checks.
  • Coordinate family leave processes accurately.
  • Collaborate with Payroll on overpayment letters.
  • Provide cover for the HR Administrator during absence.
  • Support continuous improvement of HR administrative processes.
