A healthcare provider in Stevenage is seeking an enthusiastic hand therapist to join their dynamic team. The role includes advanced assessments, splinting, and rehabilitation for a variety of hand conditions. A degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is required, along with HPC registration. Candidates should possess strong clinical reasoning and communication skills. This position offers a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 pro rata, with opportunities for professional development and flexible working arrangements.
The integrated Musculoskeletal Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic hand therapist ( OT or PT ) to join our hand therapy team based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
A developmental from Band 5 to Band 6 will be considered for the right applicant.
The post holder will carry out assessment, intervention, including splinting and rehabilitation, and evaluation of hand therapy patients using a variety of tools and techniques.
Trauma referrals are received daily from hand clinics and Consultant teams within our Hand Therapy Unit. You will be seeing patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
We are looking for sound clinical reasoning and communication skills, and an ability to work well within a team.
You will have regular informal/formal supervision with experienced senior therapists and will work as part of the wider community Musculoskeletal Service.
You must hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
