The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a respected and well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy in Manchester. This is a pivotal role for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer ready to step into a senior-level position, contributing to high-profile projects and mentoring junior staff. You will play a key role in delivering technically robust geotechnical services to a broad client base, while also supporting the leadership and development of the team.

You will be leading and managing ground investigations across a range of sectors. Your day-to-day activities will involve writing phase 1 and 2 technical reports, managing junior staff, working alongside clients, and supporting business development.

Essential Criteria
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering (MSc)
  • Extensive experience in ground investigation and geotechnical reporting
  • Strong understanding of UK ground conditions and industry standards
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based within a commutable distance to Manchester
