Senior Geo‑Environmental Engineer sought by a prestigious, Large Geo‑Environmental Consultancy. The role is based in Manchester.

Overview

Our client is part of a prestigious, nationwide site investigation, contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy, providing integrated multidisciplinary services to a wide range of sectors. They are looking for Senior Geo‑Environmental Engineer to join their Manchester team successfully delivering consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. Responsibilities
  • Design and manage a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within the company.
  • Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  • Prepare H&S plans and RAMS.
  • Preparing of Remediation Strategies, including verification works on site.
  • Establishing and developing strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the department and the wider business.
  • Provide technical leadership in the day-to-day delivery of projects.
Requirements
  • BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
  • An MSc/further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant industry background.
  • Registered with a suitable professional body and working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE).
  • Significant and demonstrable background in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental investigations and reporting.
  • Demonstrable track‑record and ability to prepare Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Preliminary.
