Job summary

A leading NHS mental health provider is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and ensure high-quality care within the North London Forensic Service. The role involves both inpatient and community team responsibilities, including psychiatric assessment and treatment, report writing for tribunals, and adherence to legal obligations. Candidates should hold a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry and possess excellent clinical and communication skills. The position offers a permanent contract with a full-time working pattern.

Qualifications

• CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.
• Full Registration with the General Medical Council with a current licence to practise.
• Good standing with GMC regarding warnings and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Conduct psychiatric assessment and treatment of forensic psychiatric inpatients.
• Produce reports for CQC Tribunals and Hospital Managers hearings.
